特殊牌型是很多玩家會特別感興趣的部分，因為它不只關係到能不能贏，還常常直接影響獎金、賠付或額外加分。像十三張一條龍規則介紹、十三支一條龍、十三支特殊牌型、13支特殊牌型、十三水特殊牌型計分規則這些字眼，都是在講「某些特定組合會有額外效果」。例如一條龍通常指從 A 到 K 的完整連號，若平台採用這種規則，往往會給出高額加分；六對半也是很常見的特殊牌型之一，十三張六對半、六啤半十三張、十三張撲克牌遊戲中六對半的大小等搜尋詞，基本上都在找同一類資訊。這類特殊牌型最容易讓新手困惑的地方，不是它們本身有多難湊，而是每個平台的定義可能略有不同，有的版本會算特定獎勵，有的版本只算普通牌型，所以玩之前一定要先確認規則頁，千萬不要直接把別的平台算法套用過來。
